Looking for any Davis marriages that connect to John Robert William Davis, b. 11 Nov 1799 Blount Co TN, in 1850 (and possibly 1840, 1830 censuses) there. Moved between 1850 and 1860 to Walker Co GA. Died after 1870 census.
He married a woman named Mary, b. TN, b. c. 1794 (although her age changes, if it’s still the same Mary as wife) in censuses. Their children included Will b. 1828 TN; Letty b. 1829 TN; Mary b. 1832 TN married David McClanahan, settled Mason Co TX; Ann b. 1837 TN; Absalom b. 1835-39 TN married Mary A settled in Hill Co.TX; Richard b. 1830 TN; Levi b. 1840 TN married Lette Matilda Johnson settled in Grayson Co TX; Frances E. b. 1843 (is in 1870 census with parents, Walker Co GA); John Robert William Jr (that’s how I figured the three names on father) b. 1845 TN married Elizabeth; Happy W.S. b. 1847 Blount Co TN married Stephen Alexander Cordell, d. 1875 Walker Co. GA; James Sinkler b. 1848 TN married Martha E Chastain died c. 1920 Logan Co AR; and Stephen A. b 1850/51 TN married Eliza Ann Henry, d. 1919 Johnson Co. TX. Any info on these children, all of whom supposedly married in Walker Co GA, would be appreciated. Thank you.
