A Trip Across Tennessee in One Afternoon

Yesterday,  I visited Cheekwood Botanical Gardens & Museum.   One of their current exhibits, TRAINS: Tennessee in G, features close to 24 miniature replicas of famous landmarks around the state as part of the setup for the garden railroad.  It truly was like taking a tour across the state and now I need to do more research on some of them so I become even more familiar.

Tennessee State Capital - Nashville (Davidson County)

Beale Street - Memphis (Shelby County)

Daisy Theater - Memphis (Shelby County)

Alex Haley House - Henning (Lauderdale County)

York Mill - Pall Mall (Fentress County)

Marble Springs - Home of John Sevier - Knox County

Chucalisea Indian Village - Memphis (Shelby County)

Cades Cove Crib Barn - Cades Cove (Blount County)

Casey Jones House - Jackson (Madison County)

Rocky Mount - Piney Flats (Sullivan County)

Union Station - Nashville (Davidson County)

Cheekwood Home - Nashville (Davidson County)

Belle Meade Plantation - Nashville (Davidson County)

Carter House - Franklin (Williamson County)

Ryman Auditorium - Nashville (Davidson County)

Parthenon - Nashville (Davidson County)

I didn’t get them all though. Here are some others I found on Flickr:

Cheekwood: Trains! 9 Graceland

Graceland - Memphis (Shelby County)

Cheekwood TRAINS! - Hunt-Phean Home

Hunt-Phelan Home - Memphis (Shelby County)

Chester Inn - Jonesborough (Washington County)

Aren’t these interesting? I am sure the locations behind them are even more so!
