Obituary – Ward, Mary Magdalene, 1992

A former Clinton women, Mary Magdalene Ward, 72, of Town View Drive in Knoxville, died June 17 at Anderson County Health Care Center.

She was born May 16, 1920 in Briceville to the late Isaac and Rosie Ault Brown.

Her husband was the late Theodore Ward.

Mrs. Ward was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church. A homemaker, she enjoyed quilting and gardening.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Margie Calloway of Clinton; Myrtle and Gideon Parks of Briceville; sons and daughters-in-law, Wendell and Cathy Ward of Clinton; Charles and Judy Ward of Concord; brothers, Jim Ault of Clinton; Horace Brown of Ohio; sisters, Arettia Bunch of Lake City; Rosie and Nellie Harness; both of Briceville; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Dutch Valley Baptist Church. Burial was at Clinch River Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City. The Rev. Daymon Owens and the Rev. Steve Seiber officiated. Martin Clinton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
