Will of Jessee Henderson, 1866:

In the name of God, Amen, I Jessee Henderson of Anderson County and state of Tennessee being of Sound mind and composing in body, and considering the uncertainty of this Mortal life knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all these have before made by me in the words and —– following (by) first I will that my daughter Elmyer Vosmus have one hundred and eighty acres of land called the old Gones track by her paying one hundred dollars to John Henderson and the same amount to Nancy Gones or her heirs and the same amount to Margarett Farmer. I will to my son James Henderson one hundred acres of land calld the old Frost tract being the land he now lives on by his paying the same amount to the above named Nancy Gones or her heirs, Margarett, Elmyer Vosmus and Atwood Vosmus have all my farming tools, Smith tools and house hold furniture that may be on hand at my death and all the stock that I had my claim on and in order this will be lawfully executed I appoint my son James Henderson and Atwood Vosmus my executors to execute this my last will and testament wherefore I have hereunto st my hand and affixed my seal on this 24th of January 1866.
