Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Altum, 2001:
Mary Elizabeth Altum, age 74, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 13, 1927.
She was a member of North Clinton Baptist Church and a personal friend to all Hill Court residents.
Preceded in death by: Husband, Cecil Lloyd Altum; father, James Alfred Lowe; mother, Rosa Jane Lively Altum; brother, Garrett Lowe; sister, Carrie Bunch.
Survivors: Children, Robert Altum and wife Patricia Jane of Clinton, Terry Allen Altum of Clinton; sisters, Pauline Weaver and husband Jessie of Clinton, Lillie Day and husband James of Clinton, Darlus Crane of Clinton; brothers, Buddy Ray Lowe of Clinton, Ed Lowe and wife Jean of Madison, AL; sister-in-law, Maxine Lowe of Clinton; grandchildren, Cecil Edward Altum of Clinton, Wendy Roberts of Clinton, Teresa Altum and husband Benny of Clinton, James Robert Altum and wife Kimberly of Clinton, Bobby Ray Altum if Clinton, Anthony Dale House of Knoxville, Terry Michael Altum of Ohio; special friend, Gail Flatford of Powell; great-grandchildren, Steve Lynn Altum of Clinton, Timothy Wayne Altum of Clinton, Caitlin Amanda Roberts of Clinton, Emily Jane Roberts of Clinton, Caleb Altum of Clinton, Jacqueline Gabrielle Altum of Clinton.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at Anderson County Funeral Home. The funeral service will be immediately following in the chapel of Anderson County Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred “Buddy” Long of North Clinton Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be 11 am Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
Anderson County Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
